Assemblymember Isaac Bryan is seeking passionate and hardworking people who will help us get Californians back on their feet. During the pandemic, many people have fallen on hard times and are relying on various federal, state and local assistance programs to stay afloat. California’s Employment Development Department (EDD) estimates that there are still more than 11 million cases remaining to be processed.
The office is helping people get the services and benefits they need, and is hiring limited-term staff to help people in the 54th District. Candidates should be self-starters who can work effectively in a team and are passionate about helping their community-members. This EDD Caseworker will serve as a liaison between the Assemblymember and his constituents in helping them manage their requests for EDD assistance. Responsibilities include:
- Responding to constituent inquires about EDD
- Coordinating with EDD Legislative Liaisons to resolve complaints and issues
- Entering casework notes into constituent management systems
There are two limited-term paid positions, at:
- $15/hour (no benefits)
- 35 hours per week – full-time
- 4 months
Candidates will gain valuable professional development and work experience. Training on how to work with constituents on casework will be provided.
