A fun and musical Father’s Day march with Mariachi Los Dorados De Villa, elected officials, community members — and fathers, of course — was held on Sunday morning, June 19, thanks to the Weingart East Los Angeles YMCA in Boyle Heights.
The “Serenatas para papa” march was followed by a pancake breakfast for fathers and others in the community. Elected officials who were expected to join in the march, and give speeches at the breakfast, included Assemblyman Miguel Santiago (ASMDC-53), state Sen. María Elena Durazo (SD-24) and Los Angeles City Councilman Kevin de León (CD-14).
