AB 257 Passes the Assembly and Assembly Member Santiago Responds

(Los Angeles, CA) Following the passage of AB 257 (introduces standards to protect fast food employees), Assembly Member Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) who is also a co-author of AB 257 released the following statement:

“Fast food workers are essential workers, let’s treat them with dignity,” said Assembly Member Miguel Santiago.

“We need to protect fast food workers from unsafe working conditions and treat them with fairness. That’s why I’m thrilled AB 257 passed the Assembly and I look forward to helping it move through the Senate.”

Assembly Member Miguel Santiago is the Chair of the Assembly Committee on Governmental Organization and the Assembly Select Committee on Los Angeles County Homelessness. He represents the 53rd District composed of the cities of Los Angeles, Huntington Park, and Vernon.
