Flags and Flowers ceremony
Honoring a grave with a flag
Asm. Kamlager-Dove, Preston Sharp and Sen. Ben Allen

On Friday, May 18, 2018, HISTORY® hosted a special “Flags and Flowers” event at Los Angeles National Cemetery to honor and preserve the legacy of our veterans. The “Flags and Flowers” campaign is an initiative built on 12-year-old Preston Sharp’s mission to honor the graves of veterans every day, not just on holidays. SIX is an example of HISTORY’s programming that depicts the dedication of our nation’s military and their families; today is an example of how, through partnerships, we can all remember and respect those who have served, and their families.
