Speaker Robert Rivas Appoints Assemblymember Mark González as Majority Whip

SACRAMENTO, CA – On Friday, Speaker Robert Rivas (D-Hollister) announced his Democratic leadership team for the 2025-2026 Legislative Session and has appointed Assemblymember Mark González (D-Los Angeles) as Assembly Majority Whip.

"I share the Speaker's commitment to delivering practical solutions that make a real difference for all Californians. In this leadership role, I will work tirelessly to ensure critical legislation garners the support needed to move our state forward.
