Assemblymember Miguel Santiago and Councilmember Jose Huizar to Demonstrate Issues with CA Pedestrian Crosswalk Countdown Law

Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) will join Los Angeles City Councilmember Jose Huizar (CD-14) and others for a joint press conference and demonstration to discuss the importance of changes needed to California’s Pedestrian Crosswalk Countdown law. Assemblymember Santiago’s AB 390 authorizes a pedestrian facing a “countdown” signal to proceed across the intersection if there is sufficient time left on the countdown clock to reasonably complete the crossing safely.
