SACRAMENTO – Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) today announced that AB 2 was included as part of the California Latino Legislative Caucus’ 2019 policy priorities and priority legislation.
“The California Latino Legislative Caucus has always focused on pushing legislation that sets the Legislative agenda in our state, and sets policy standards for the rest of the nation to follow. I am proud of the work this Caucus has done for the people of California, and that my fellow Caucus members recognize the importance of AB 2,” said Assemblymember Miguel Santiago. “We need to make sure our children are prepared to join the 21st century workforce, and two years of tuition-free community college is a major step in the right direction.”
In addition to AB 2, Latino Caucus members voted to declare the following fourteen bills as the Latino Caucus’ 2019 priority legislation:

Assemblymember Miguel Santiago is the Chair of the Assembly’s Communications and Conveyance Committee, and a member of both the Assembly Public Safety Committee and the California Latino Legislative Caucus.
