Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade and Assembly Member Santiago Responds

(Los Angeles, CA) – Following the SCOTUS decision overturning Roe v. Wade, Assembly Member Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) released the following statement:

“What a blow to women’s rights and a tragic day in our history,” said Assembly Member Miguel Santiago.

“I am devastated to see decades of progress destroyed by six right wing justices. As a CA legislator, this makes passing SCA 10 more important than ever to protect reproductive freedom in CA.”

Assembly Member Miguel Santiago is the Chair of the Assembly Committee on Governmental Organization and the Assembly Select Committee on Los Angeles County Homelessness. He represents the 53rd District composed of the cities of Los Angeles, Huntington Park, and Vernon.
