(Sacramento) – California State Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) was sworn-in as the 53rd Assembly District’s newest representative at a special organizational session of the Assembly at the State Capitol in Sacramento. Assemblymember Santiago says he and his family are “overwhelmed with joy” at the honor, and he is “excited and can’t wait to get to work.” Assemblymember Santiago plans to hit the ground running, focusing on education, public infrastructure, health care needs and job creation.
