(Boyle Heights, CA) – Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) organized a special movie night and backpack giveaway to help the children of Boyle Heights start the new school year. Dozens of backpacks full of school supplies were distributed and the movie “Epic” was shown during the festive event at the Pico Aliso Gardens. “Our district has a lot of needs,” said Assemblymember Santiago. “It’s the third poorest district in the State of California and we’re doing everything we possibly can to improve our district.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
