(Los Angeles) — Assemblymember Miguel Santiago, Majority Whip of the California State Assembly, hosted The Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials (ESTM) Committee Exide Hearing at Theodore Roosevelt High School on June 9. The California Department of Toxic Substance Control provided an update on plans to implement the governor's $176.6 million appropriation to expedite lead testing in communities near Exide, as well as the timeline for cleanup activities.
