(San Jose, CA) - Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) was a guest on the Charter Communication Local Edition interview program - which was being videotaped during the Democrat’s state party Spring 2016 convention - to discuss the skyrocketing cost of higher education in California. Assemblymember Santiago told host Brad Pomerance he’s authored legislation to address one of the major non-tuition issues facing students today - textbooks. They also discussed federal efforts to make community colleges tuition free and the new bachelor degree programs at some community colleges.
