(Los Angeles, CA) Majority Whip of the California State Assembly, Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles), hosted a free outdoor community movie night on July 30th at Hollenbeck Police Station. The event, which was held in partnership with the Hollenbeck Police Department Volunteer Program and the Office of Los Angeles City Councilmember Jose Huizar, not only featured the free movie, it provided an opportunity for community members to meet and discuss legislative issues with their local and state representatives. "I think these types of events are important. It’s important to get people together, to get people involved and help us change one community at a time,” said Assemblymember Santiago.
