(Los Angeles, CA) — Assemblymembers Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles), and Matt Dababneh (D-Woodland Hills) and Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), joined Los Angeles nightlife and hospitality leaders in support of Senate Bill 384. SB 384 allows local communities to extend alcohol service to as late as 4 a.m. The LOCAL Act, which stands for Let Our Communities Adjust Late Night, applies to bars, nightclubs, and restaurants, but not to liquor stores. "This bill is about bringing investment into areas such as the ones I represent; this bill is about making us competitive," Assemblymember Santiago told reporters.
