(Los Angeles) -Dozens of families, local, and state officials joined Assemblymember Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall to protest the federal government’s policy of separating families as they cross the border into the United States. “What the Trump Administration is doing is inconceivable and we denounce the practice of separating children from their parents at the US border,” Assemblymember Santiago told the crowd. “This separation policy is wrong, cruel, and incompatible with the values we treasure as a country.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
