Eviction Protections Bill Passed by Assembly

(Sacramento, CA) Following the California State Assembly’s passage of AB 2179 (Grayson and Wicks), a bill that will extend the eviction protections in California until June 30th, on a 62 to 13 vote, Assembly Member Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) released the following statement:

Dog and Cat Bill of Rights Introduced by Assembly Member Santiago

(Sacramento, CA) Today, Assembly Member Miguel Santiago (D-Los Angeles) introduced AB 1881, the “Dog and Cat Bill of Rights.” The bill, sponsored by Social Compassion in Legislation, promotes the health and wellbeing of and fights against cruelty toward dogs and cats. The bill does so by having seven broad clauses with the rights of dogs and cats.
